Andranobe Lake
Located in the heart of the coastal forest of the east coast of Madagascar, this establishment is only accessible on foot and by boat. With a capacity of 16 people, the lodge is a real haven of tranquility set between the canal and the Indian Ocean, an ideal place to relax, explore and unwind in contact with nature.
Hike, guided walk, observation of birds living in the forest near the lodge and on the surrounding lakes, canoe trips on the canal to discover the flora and fauna or meetings with the inhabitants of the village of Analanola, 3 km away and village of Ambahy 6 km away.
Built exclusively of wood and Ravenala (traveler’s tree), the 8 shelters of the Pangalanes Jungle-camp protect 8 tent-safaris, each with an area of 16 m2.
The Pangalanes Jungle-camp is located 3:30 a.m. by boat north of the town of Mananjary.
Our “ravintsy” boat provides passenger transport and tours.

THE CAMP
Eight tent shelters covering eight “2 TWN twin” safari tents, each with a covered terrace. Solar lights.
Each has an open-air bathroom-shower (bucket shower) and dry toilets. The beds are fitted with mosquito nets and impeccable bedding.
Constructions 100% local materials (no concrete).
Group to recharge your devices. Our choice of lighting is the “kerosene lamp” for the retro charm of the dining room, solar for your bungalows.

Our fishermen neighbors provide the table in “maso vo toaka”, the endemic tilapia of Pangalanes, camarons and large sea fish.
HEALTH, EDUCATION, CRAFTS
We provide special assistance to the Ambahy dispensary (CSB2) by providing it with medical supplies and medicines. Your medication donations are welcome.
PROTECTION & REFORESTATION
The looting of forests and resources remains THE major problem in Madagascar.
Each traveler who comes here visits the nursery, participates in our reforestation project by choosing their tree to plant it on the “working” area, in order to participate in this emergency work and leave their mark … concerned.
The partnership with the communities (V.O.I) entrusted us with the management of 6 hectares of forest around the lodge.
